Classics, reference to the fashion of the 2000s, search for creative solutions and new materials – all these are about modern trends in necklaces. So, what do designers propose us to wear?

Necklaces with small beads

The Y2K fashions remain current: jeans are low rise, blouses have stripes and necklaces are made of bright beads. Chokers

They are back in fashion. Earlier on the catwalks there were vintage chokers made of pearls, crystals and glass beads, especially memorable ones by Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin and Tom Ford, whose sparkling chokers were combined with silk shirts, pants and jackets with sequins. And now the baton is taken by crystal chokers, for example by Chanel – graceful, elegant and universal. According to stylists, chokers can be worn in everyday style, at official events and even on the red carpet. So, if you are going to buy a choker, make the most of its fashion-practicality.

Necklaces with large beads

They’re made for accents. Massive “dragees” emphasize the delicacy of the look, so necklaces made of large beads are used in the collections of Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Ulla Johnson.

Stone necklaces

A necklace made of semi-precious stones is a definite plus to any look you choose, whether you’re getting ready for a date or a work meeting on Zoom. Deep garnet, poignant aquamarine or gray agate (to match smoky eyes!) look elegant and not boring. And gemstone necklaces are not tied to the season – holiday or fashion – at all. They are beautiful in their opulence and versatility.

Combining of materials is one of the popular trends in beaded necklaces. Pearls

Pearl necklaces remain classics, but now the design has become more casual. Thanks to the combination of materials, where pearls are combined with beads and stones, the classic design is transformed into a modern one. Some designers create a casual look with irregularly shaped baroque pearls. Others emphasize expressive contrast by combining creamy, milky pearl shades with multicolored beads. Others, such as Mejuri, advise wearing pearl strands with gold, silver or beaded necklaces.

Layered necklaces

Modern fashion tends to maximalism, so necklaces made of stones/beads in layers – in several tiers, with decorative elements is a mega-trend. Stylists advise to wear such necklaces with dresses, blouses and jackets, avoiding open shoulders and décolleté.
